Twin Hills Stud are being kept busy at Riverside Stables ahead of the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale this week with a draft of 13 quality youngsters by seven different sires including Australian Horse of the Year Anamoe.

The first yearlings by Anamoe have lit up sale rings this year for up to $1.1million and no fewer than 21 have sold for $500,000 or more indicating the high regard in which they are held.

There are only three Anamoe colts in this sale and the pedigree standout is Twin Hills Stud’s Lot 84, a colt from Group II VRC Wakeful Stakes winner Tiamo Grace.

He comes from the family of Group I VRC Myer Classic winner I Am a Star and traces directly back on his tail female line to the legend Fanfreluche via the Grand Luxe branch of the family that has given us champion sires Flying Spur and Encosta de Lago.

Twin Hills Stud’s young Group I winning sire Daumier also had his first yearlings selling this year for up to $200,000 and there are five weanlings in the draft from his second crop.

Given his profile as a brilliant and precocious winner of the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes, Daumier may well make his mark quickly at stud and his second crop of yearlings stand to benefit in the sale ring come 2027.
