Twin Hills Stud’s Group 1 producer Smart Missile will stand at the unchanged fee of $22,000 inc GST later this year. Associate sire Denman’s fee is also unaltered at $8800 inc GST while Odyssey Moon will drop to $6600 inc GST and newcomer Hallowed Crown will be offered at $11,000 inc GST.
“We are very conscious that we are living and operating in extraordinary circumstances at the moment. However, we are also conscious that our industry runs in an annual cycle,” Ollie Tait said. “The decision of which stallion a mare is bred to is an important one, whether you are breeding for the racetrack or also for the sale ring.
“There is no doubt that the environment that we are all living and working in will evolve quickly over the next few months. However, we can be sure that foals will be born this spring and the annual cycle of breeding thoroughbreds will start again.”
