A new leaf in the Twin Hills story
Amedia star, chicken tycoons, the ruler of Dubai, each one of them dedicated racehorse breeders of great achievement: the three most recent owners of these 2,500 gently undulating acres attest to their allure – you’ll struggle to find land better suited to the maintainence and improvement of the thoroughbred breed anywhere in the world.
Twin Hills Stud is now owned by Olly and Amber Tait. Located at Cootamundra in New South Wales, Twin Hills Stud is situated in close proximity to where Olly’s family have bred some of Australia’s greatest racehorses. Baguette, Tie The Knot and Spinning Hill all carried the Tait family’s famous red and white colours to multiple Group 1 victories. Along with the Taits’ horses, countless Champions, Golden Slipper winners, Guineas, Derby and Oaks winners have been produced in the area.
Twin Hills Stud stands stallions, offers racehorse and broodmare agistment, and sales preparation and consignment. Situated between the Hunter Valley and North East Victoria, it provides access to both of Australia’s most prominent breeding areas. It is also within easy reach of racing stables in Sydney and Melbourne. It is superbly appointed, enjoys an ideal climate and its pastures and water are abundant.
And now introducing TWO new stallion names to add to Rubiton and Snippets…
Winner of the G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint as a three-year-old, beating a European champion and a Royal Ascot Diamond Jubilee winner.
El Prado sire line of Medaglia d’Oro and Artie Schiller – only faster than both. He’s the fastest by five-time US Champion turf sire, Kitten’s Joy.
Also a G1 juvenile who won the famous Pilgrim Stakes on the turf at Belmont by six-and-a-half lengths as a two-year-old.
One of the finest juveniles by Snitzel, the phenomenal sire of two-year-olds.
Rated a point behind Sizzling and above Wandjina, Shamus Award, Spill The Beans and Sooboog.
Hard on the heels of Pride Of Dubai in the G1 Sires’ and rated the equal of Exosphere and superior to Headwater in an excellent crop of two-year-olds.
Tough seven-race campaign at two with the class to win a G3 sprint in his 21st start. His dam is by Arch, also broodmare sire of leading young US stallion, Uncle Mo.
